Lee Schipper Memorial Award Ceremony at The World Bank Headquarters

As part of the Lee Schipper Memorial Scholarship, Dr. Carlos Rivera-Gonzalez attended the Transforming Transportation conference at The World Bank headquarters in Washington for the award ceremony.

Dr. Rivera-Gonzalez had the oportunity to present his research “Transforming Urban Logistics: Demand Centric Policy Impacts on Freight Efficient Land-Uses,”  to a full auditorium of policymakers and global leaders. He highlighted how freight demand management strategies can play a key role in sustainable urban freight and how we should use our current infrastructure more efficiently instead of the typical “predict and provide” approach.
