CLUE Research-in-Progress Meeting
February 24 @ 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm EST
Online via Teams
The first CLUE R-I-P monthly meeting was a remarkable success with a few dozen attendees and participation from three CLUE Universities: York, McMaster and UofT. The event was attended by Professors who mostly observed their students lead the way by sharing the most recent progress on their works.
The event was moderated by Heider Al Mashalah of McMaster who did an excellent job of setting up a warm atmosphere for the attendees and welcoming the presenters to the Café. He went on to introduce the R-I-P Café series and the speakers at the maiden event. Two topics were presented, with details as follows:
12:05-12:20 E-Cargo Bike Pilot Update-York University – Adonai Santana (Prof. Kevin Gingerich)
12:20-12:35 E-Cargo Bike Pilot Update-University of Toronto – Ahmed Lasisi
The two presentations were well received and followed with questions and discussions on how to proceed with the Cargo Pilot on both Campuses with sustainability, crowd shipping and climate change being major themes of the conversation.
The event ended at 1pm with closing remarks and plans for the next meeting.
